The Layouts below will help you to determine which

products are required for different circumstances. 

Simplest application
As a train enters the "TEST" section
if the train ahead has activated "Set Brake"
following train will slow to a stop until
the lead train reaches "Release"


 

This Alternate Station/Spur BitSwitch
allows one train at a time to traverse the loop
while another is held in the station area
As one train enters the station
the other is dispatched
[ Depending on decoders installed the trains may operate in opposite directions]



This configuration uses the Station BitSwitch
A train #1 enters the station on either line it is stopped
when train #2 enters the adjacent line train #1 is released
when train #1 reaches the 2nd Block train #2 is released.
up to 3 trains are allowed on this configuration

This is the same as the previous except that a train entering the "Siding"
is held forever until one train passes on the "main"
This scheme constantly changes the order of the trains.

This configuration demonstrates that where multiple sidings are in series
at minimum 1 Block and 1 Spur are required between each Station/Passing
