Signal Control is included
in many BitSwitch Products

The signal feature is always operational whether in Automatic or Manual mode.  

In the manual operation mode the engineer should obey the the traffic signals to avoid collisions.

Signals are powered by the BitSwitches using the same sensors. No additional sensors or wiring is required. The signal voltage supplied is the equivalent of the maximum DC current available for engine motors. (approx 12vdc for N scale to as much as 18vdc on G scale layouts) 

Connections for Red and Green Signals are currently included in the Block, Spur, Station and Merge BitSwitches.  Signal Control for other BitSwitch Products will be available in the future

If the BitSwitch determines the next block forward is occupied a RED signal terminal is powered.  If the next block is vacant a GREEN signal terminal is powered.

For those using 3 color signals the YELLOW lamp can be connected to the RED signal terminal of the next forward BitSwitch.
