This BitSwitch allows a signal to be set from a control panel. If the signal has been set RED when the train detector is activated the train will slow to a stop using CV4 braking momentum. When the signal is manually set GREEN from the control panel the train will accelerate using CV3 momentum. If the signal is GREEN when the train detector is activated the train is not affected.
The Manual Signal BitSwitch operates in accordance with the schematic suggested in the Lenz LG100 brake circuit manual below.

Depending on the type signal being used two versions of this switch are available.
The
DCC-BitSwitch Manual Braking Circuit is designed to simplify the installation of
a manually controlled signal.
Included
with this special circuit is a magnetic reed switch to serve as the “TRACK
DETECTOR”.
The
“POWER IN” can be supplied via AC, DC or DCC sources.
The “POWER IN” voltage will determine the voltage supplied the
SIGNAL.
The “POWER IN” can normally be supplied using either booster output
