Dual Lines with Additions

This layout will allow the automatic operation of up to seven trains.

Check Layout 1 & 2 for descriptions of BitSwitch functions.

Depending on the tightness of your layout, more action will result with fewer trains but if the overall dimensions were adequate this arrangement of BitSwitch combinations will yield a very interesting variety of action.

Reasonable stopping distance is required in each control area  just as it would be in prototypical  lines. The BitSwitch application is not easily applied to multi siding switch yards and Normal DCC Engineer control is the only and best solution.

This Layout 3 requires;

  2    Station or Merge BitSwitch

  2    Spur BitSwitch

  2    Block BitSwitches
